My local Post Office

My local Post Office is closing!

What a shame. Is the Post Office closing it? No! It is a main Post Office and is profitable and the place is a hive of activity. So why is it closing? Well, the premises were shared with a Spa shop. Spa closed down as it was loosing money. And now the landlord wants to re-develop the premises.

 I’m amazed they cannot find alternative premises. There are loads vacant and cheap leases must be available. I guess the removal costs are too high. And then perhaps no one has the money to set it up. So all the staff loose their jobs.

 There must be something else going on behind the scenes. When will I catch up on the rumours?

 And what is the landlord up to? Thee moment it’s vacant, it’s the landlord who has to pay the Business Rates. With no rental stream. Hope he has a decent and realistic business plan.
